Hud was appointed to be the Prophet of Ad tribe. Ad, a fourth generation descendant of Noah. Hud and his people lived in the Yemeni province of Hadramawt. This region is at the southern end of the Arabian Peninsula, in an area of curved sand hills.

The lineage of Prophet Hud is as follows: He is Hud, the son of ^Abdullah, the son of Rabah, the son of al-Jalud, the son of ^Ad, the son of ^Aws, the son of Iram, the son of Sam, the son of Noah.

People of Ad were skillful masons and were mostly well off. Having abundant wealth as well as a long life made them proud of their achievements and considered themselves to be invincible. The people of the tribe of Ad were very tall and strong. The tallest among them was 100 cubits in height and the shortest was 60 cubits in height (~90 feet).

Since Hud was a man from amongst them, it was certain that they would be more inclined to listen to him.He was enjoying a great patience in guiding people.

“To the ‘Ad People (We sent) Hud, one of their own brethren. He said: “O my people! Worship God! Ye have no other god but Him. You are only forgers. “O my people! I ask of you no reward for this (Message). My reward is from none but Him who created me: Will ye not then understand? “And O my people! Ask forgiveness of your Lord, and turn to Him (in repentance): He will send you skies pouring abundant rain, and add strength to your strength: So turn ye not back in sin!” They said: “O Hud! No clear (Sign) hast thou brought us, and we are not the ones to desert our gods on thy word! Nor shall we believe in thee! “We say nothing but that (perhaps) some of our gods may have seized thee with evil.” He said: “I call God to witness, and do ye bear witness, that I am free from the sin of ascribing to Him, “Other gods as partners!”
(11:50-55)

He then stood up and prayed: “Give me victory on what they called me a liar.” Then the order of God came – The punishment of no more rain. There was a terrible drought for three years. The grass and cattle were destroyed. Then a huge black cloud appeared. The people of ‘Ad were very happy when they saw this cloud because they assumed that it contained much rain. They declared that this cloud would bring back the land and the rivers would flow again. Little did they know what was in store for them. Instead, this black cloud brought a terrible wind that would lift men up and then drop them with such force that they would crush. Many men even tried to escape this wind by hiding in the mountain caves. However, there was no escape from this wind. This wind would even follow them in the caves.

The people of ‘Ad used to boast that there was none stronger than they. God surely proved them wrong for their disobedience. God destroyed not only the people of ‘Ad, but the entire city as well.

They did not heed the warnings and were punished with hurricanes so fierce that nothing could withstand it. The people of Ad were punished with the severest of hurricanes, which was unrelenting and smashing their cities for 8 days and 7 nights, continuously!

Afterwards the remnant who survived established themselves in Yemen.

The Story of Prophet Hud (as) is a major lesson for all of us. It is a prime example of how civilizations grow arrogant, haughty and proud and then are brought down with the severest of punishments.

Idris is the third of the Prophets. He was the 5th generation of the Prophet Adam. He was born and raised in Babylon following the teachings and religion of Prophet Adam (pbuh) and his son Seth (pbuh). Then God made him a Prophet and Messenger.

Prophet Idris called the people to be good Muslims, following all the rules of the Religion revealed to him. He told them to perform the prayers and showed them how to pray. They were ordered to fast certain days every month. He called the people back to his forefathers religion, but only a few listened to him, while the majority turned away.

Idris was directed to migrate to Egypt and settle on the bank of the river Nile. He preached the religion of Allah among various tribes and admonished them to be good and civilized.

He was the first to warn people that a flood would come as a punishment (as it did come in the time of Noah).

God revealed 30 short booklets (suhuf) to Idris. God gave him the knowledge of Astronomy and Arithmetic. It is reported that he was the 1st to invent the basic form of writing.

Prophet Idris was friend of one of the angels of heaven. At the age of 365 years the angel friend took Idris up into the heavens and when they arrived in the fourth heaven, they met the Angel of Death. The Angel of Death said: Where is Idris because I have been commanded to end his life. Prohet Idris (pbuh) then stayed in the fourth heaven and died in the wings of his angel friend.

Some of his wise sayings,

“None can show better gratitude for Allah’s favors than he who shares them with others. Do not envy people for what they have as they will only enjoy it for a short while. He who indulges in excess will not benefit from it. The real joy of life is to have wisdom.”

“Happy is he who looks at his own deeds and appoints them as pleaders to his Lord.”

“Do not feel jealous of the prosperity of others.”

“He who has unlimited desires, is deprived of the wealth of contentment.”

“One should be sincere in acts of devotion.”

“It is an act of grave sin to take false oaths.”

“Being patient, while believing in God, leads one to victory. “

“He who controls his passions, is fortunate. Only a good act will be a living intercessor before Allah on the Day of Judgment.”

“One who is desirous of attaining perfection in knowledge, should have no concern with immoral acts.”

It has been mentioned in the Holly Quran that

“Who is an enemy to Jebrail! For he it is who hath disclosed (this scripture) to thy heart by God’s leave, confirming that which was (disclosed) before it, and a direction and glad tidings to believers.”

He is the angle who was allotted with the privilege of disclosing Holy Quran to Prophet Muhammad (SAWW). The main duties which were assigned by Allah almighty to Jebrail were concerned with conveying the messages of Allah almighty to the prophets. He played a prominent role in many of the historic Islamic events especially at the occasion of Meraj which is also known as the night of Ascension Jebrail was the companion of Holy Prophet PBUH.

The night when Meraj took place Prophet Muhammad S.A.W.W was present in the house of Umm-e-Hani when he heard a voice which said that

This was the voice of Jebrail the archangel who was assigned the duty of taking Holy Prophet PBUH on a historic journey by Allah Almighty. Our Beloved Prophet started this remarkable tour with the assistance and guidance of archangel Jebrail who played the role of his guide, companion and a trusted assistance during the whole tour. They first stopped at Taibah and Jebrail instructed our Prophet PBUH to offer prayer there and told him that this is the place towards which Muslims will travel.

Next they stopped at the Mountain of Sinai and again our beloved Prophet Muhammad PBUH was instructed to offer prayer there. The journey continued and after sometime Holy Prophet Muhammad PBUH was again instructed by the archangel to dismount from al- Buraq this time it was Bait al-Laham the place of birth of Prophet ISA PBUH. The Archangel Jebrail told Prophet Muhammad to offer prayer there as well and also Jebrail introduced the location to him.

The journey continued and the next stop was Baitul Maqdis there Holy Prophet PBUH was introduced with earlier prophets which include Ibrahim, Isa and Musa along with other messengers of Allah Almighty. Holy Prophet also led the prayer at Baitul Maqdis following the instructions of Jebrail.

Next they travelled to the heavens Holy Prophet PBUH was shown the systems of stars and the torture center. Also he met previous messengers of Allah Almighty and several secrets were revealed to him.

Jebrail was there with Holy Prophet all the time for guidance until Sidrat ul Muntaha was reached (it is the point further to which to no one can ascend). Archangel Jebrail told Prophet Muhammad PBUH that he can’t accompany him further. From there Holy Prophet travelled alone to witnessed some grand miracles of Allah almighty. Finally he came back by the same way through which he had undergone the journey at the first place.

Wisdom is the solution to all problems in our life. Immanuel Kant, a renown philosopher has laid emphasis on wisdom by claiming it to be an organized way of life. The crucial experience one gains from life can be the key to success. It is no surprise that Quran treats wisdom as an important part of a person’s life.

There is no shortage of examples being mentioned particular emphasis on the life of prophet Muhammad (saw). However, there was one person whose wisdom was so special that an entire chapter in the holy book was named after him. There is no particular proof that says Luqman was a prophet. Historians say that he belonged to Jerusalem and was a carpenter by profession but it was due to his wisdom, that he was used to be a judge to settle people’s affairs.

His Famous Words Of Wisdoms:

According to the Quran, Luqman was offered prophethood, but he refused to believe his character was weak to become one. The Quran describes his wisdom through his words to his son which were as follows:

Do not associate anyone with All

Being respectful to parents

The obliging duty to parents unless they prevent from the right path

A person is accountable for their deeds

Offering prayers

Avoid being arrogant

Learn to be humble and lower your voice

Prove Of His Wisdom Other Than Quran:

Sources other than Quran have also praised the wisdom of Luqman saying he often used to cite wisdom as a reason for people calling him for judgement in their affairs. He also stressed the importance of wisdom to others by asking them to be serious about it. He regarded the heart and tongue to be the most important parts of a person’s character stressing that a pleasant heart and tongue make a better man.

Furthermore, he said it is better to be silent if words to be spoken are not pleasant. He had strong feelings for mercy kindness and charity stating that they were all part of wisdom. On friendships, he said that a person should not only love his friend but also their father. Luqman told his son to keep company with wise men and to consult scholars in religious and worldly matters.

Way Of Spending Life:

Some sources such as Abu ad-Darda stated Luqman was granted wisdom because he owned all the attributes of piousness such as kindness, mercy and he did not indulge in any foolish activities. He stated that the one who observes patience and doesn’t be unthankful when any calamity befalls him is the one who is among the best. Many of his children died but he never complained or became impatient.

He had many children and wives but he was never proud of their numbers. In case he had fought with someone, he didn’t hold any grudges and looked to make peace with them. He used to have many good habits, such as people never used to smell odor from his body nor did anyone saw his bath. He prevented mocking anyone and used to inquire in detail about the explanations of wise sayings he heard. He remained patient through poverty and thankful through wealth.

In Islamic history a woman who learns, understands, and advocates the truth about the enlightening guidelines that have been brought by Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) as the beloved messenger of Allah, is recognized in Muslim Umma as our mother Hazrat Aisha (ra). She was the true and sincere follower of Muhammad (P.B.U.H’s) Islamic preaching thus after his death she was the one who guided the tribes and Prophet (P.B.U.H) companions clearly about the sayings and Hadiths.

Hazrat Aisha (ra) was young when she was widowed but she saw and observed the Apostle of Allah Subhana Wa Tallah thoroughly and his love towards humanity and concern for Muslims. Afterwards, whenever a tribe or Sahabas got ambiguous about the exact version of Hadiths, they brought their confusions to Hazrat Aisha (ra) and seek her true guidance. She had worked immensely for the legal rights of women. She had rescued women from ignorance at that time. She proposed rightful laws for the liberty of women. As she had received the directions of Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H) on women literacy so she showed the open paths for women to get educated and learn Quran. Women in those days had all the means to learn and educate them like their counterparts.

Hazrat Aisha (ra) worked as a legal advisor when Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H) passed away. She (ra) memorized the whole Quran. Her brilliance in Arabic language and the way she had taught the Muslims who came to her to acquire solutions regarding legal and social system of that period, impacted greatly on the widespread acceptance of Islam and regulations beyond the Arab world.

She remained actively engaged in the development of legal structure along with laws for women. The gift of powerful memory that Allah had blessed her helped enormously to guide the people about Islamic values and traditions after Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H). Her house in holy city of Medina became the hub for Islamic teaching, learning and customs that had exhibited by Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H). She had proved to be the most talented student of Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H) and when afterwards she became scholar her exemplary students proved that women have the right to educate themselves for the bright future of next generation.

Several thousand Hadiths had been preserved and approved from Hazrat Aisha (ra). Her assistance in the rectification of many Hadiths had helped to maintain the original versions of Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H) precious sayings. Hadith that had been quoted by Hazrat Aisha (ra) about Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) way of talk is:

Hazrat Aisha (ra) narrated that Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H) when spoke he chose words very carefully, he always said words that were fewer in number but precise in meaning. (al-Fawaid, Hujjat al-Islam, author Hazrat Imam Gazali, Ihya’ Ulum al-Din, Vol. 2)

Wet dreams are accepted as part of a male’s growing into maturity, but little is talked about of this natural occurrence in a young woman. Both sets of the genders mirror each other in most things, so why should this be any different? As the prophet has said, Allah has made a carbon copy of each sex internally, so what happens in one body will happen in the other.

Female ejaculation in Islam is seen to be a part of the natural evolving of the body, leading into puberty. It can occur around the time of the development of breasts and hair under the armpits and in the genital region. This can be as early as eight, or it may delay until the female child is over ten. Unless there is something abnormal, this is simply a part of growing into maturity and becoming ready for potential child-bearing. Some corruption is responsible for the emphasis on sex; therefore anything that seems out-of-the-ordinary is made out to be different, although it has existed since Man was created. Another reason for the lack of information is that many lecturers are male and women can be very shy about discussing their concerns about this phenomenon with them, including their doctor.

If a person experiences one of these wet dreams during genuine sleep, then it is perfectly natural and no blame can be placed on the person concerned. Although a female’s vagina is always moist due to normal secretions, a female ejaculation, like the man’s, increases this moisture and is usually a sign that this has occurred. Although it may not be as much as the male’s, it is usually accompanied by erotic dreams or feelings and often culminates in a feeling of satisfaction.

If this has occurred then the person should cleanse themselves by washing or ghusal, as the prophet advised. As the person grows in maturity and control of their body, it is often possible to control these urges, but, as they occur during sleep, most people cannot. Many people wake just before ejaculation, with a vague memory of fullness in the genital area, but cannot recall any reason for it being so. In puberty, it is simply a release from sexual dreams.

Umm Salamah said: “Umm Sulaym came to the Messenger of Allah, sallallahu alihi wasalam, and said, “O Messenger of Allah, Allah is not too shy to tell us the truth. Does a woman have to do ghusl if she has a wet dream?

” The Prophet said: “Yes, if she sees water (a discharge).” Umm Salamah covered her face and said, “O Messenger of Allah, can a woman have an erotic dream?”He said, “Yes, may your hands be rubbed with dust. How else would her child resemble her?” (Bukhari)

It is thought to be a very wise parent, preferably the mother, who discusses this symptom with her daughter, before she reaches the age of puberty. Otherwise she will almost certainly be given quite the wrong idea from her classmates or even a teacher who is not comfortable with the topic. Most women are not comfortable with talking about the subject either, but it is a natural part of life and growing, and if she reflects, she may remember this happening in her early life also, so there really should be no embarrassment in talking to your daughter about it.

The Quran clearly declared that Jesus (peace be upon him) as Son of Maryam several times. All the Muslims have the faith that Jesus (peace be upon him) was incredibly born with out any father by the Virgin Mary. Maryam in Arabic, the mother of Jesus is having a dignified status over the rest of women in the world and the greatest woman forever live.

Mary is having a dignified status over rest of the women in the world that how she happens to be pregnant with Jesus, with respect to Jesus, son of Mary, peace be upon him.

In chapter 19th of the Quran (that is called Maryam) the Mary receives an angle from God:

She separated from the family to a deserted place. She made a curtain from them and than then we (Allah) sent an angel to her (Gabriel or Jibrael), and he become visible before her in an appearance of a man like any human form. And the angle said that your Lord has chosen you for a righteous son gift. The Marry asked the angle that how I can conceive a son without a man, no man touched neither me, nor I am unchaste. The angle said it is very simple for our Lord and has already chosen you.

And The Miracle happens, Mary has becomes pregnant. Mary went out of the town to a deserted place in Bethlehem valley. It was 4 or 6 miles away from Jerusalem. She went with the fear that what will happen to her after the birth of the child. A voice came to console her, comforting and soothing her, and also guiding her. When Mary gave birth to a child, the voice guided her not to explain or speak anything and make a promise of silence, everything will workout.

After the birth Mary brings her child back to the village and meets elders and the Jews. They told her that she did a disgraceful crime. But Mary follows the instructions of her God (Lord). She was calm, quite and points to the baby.

The Muslims have total believe that the Jesus is like other human beings. He was born from a virgin mother, without the father and Allah created him like other human from dust. The Muslims also have faith that he is a Messenger of Allah; who does not lie and he is not himself is worshiped.

The Muslims also have faith that no Prophet has come between Jesus and Muhammad (PBUH). Allah has clearly declared his innocence in Quran.

As for as the Jesus killing and crucifixion, Muslims believe that as Quran says that they have not killed Jesus nor they crucified him but Allah made to resemble to him and Allah raised him to them. The Quran declared that Allah created you and you will be returned to him and Allah will make him return again.
