Prophet Muhammad PBUH the last messenger of Allah Almighty was sent down on earth as a blessing for the entire universe. He presented to us the Glorious Quran which contains all the relevant information following which a great life can be spent on earth which can also earn benefits for the Muslims in the world which lies here after.

Islam is the religion which has been designed by Allah Almighty keeping in consideration all the aspects related with humanity and requirements of mankind.It was Holy Prophet PBUH who was allotted with the responsibility of introducing Islam to the mankind. He emerged as a bright light in the darkness of illiteracy which was prevailing in Arabia more than 1400 years ago. He showed the right path to mankind and made every effort to convey the teachings of Islam to the masses.

He was pure and full of love for everyone and especially for children there was a special place in his heart. Holy Prophet PBUH always stressed upon the fulfillment of the rights that have been allotted by Allah Almighty to children. He once said that

“Observe justice in treatment with your children in the same way in which you anticipate them to observe justice in being kind and good to you.”

Holy Prophet stressed on the point that it is the right of children that they should be provided with food, clothing and protection till they reach an age where they become capable of taking care of themselves. Parents should make arrangements for allotting their children with proper education and a good environment.

The rights to be fed, clothing and shelter are not only dictated for those children who have their parents living with them, but also orphans are allotted with the same rights. Islam being the religion which shows compatibility with human nature clearly defines human rights and all the due respect and importance has been allotted to the rights of children.

Holy Prophet PBUH through his teachings and acts made it very clear that children deserve to be loved and taken care of. He was always very humble and kind towards children he used to give his blessings to them and instructed his companions that

“I give my Salaam to children and deference them and Muslims should go along with my actions and always be warm and loving with children.”

Speaking about children Holy Prophet PBUH mentioned that

“O Muslims, O fathers and mothers, O my retinue, be kind and sympathetic towards children, for the one who is not kind to children has no place among the Muslims.”

There are many incidents related with the life of Holy Prophet PBUH where we see that how much kind and loving his attitude was towards children.

He told parents to raise their children in the best possible manner and special attention should be given to their rights. The examples which are left by our Holy Prophet PBUH clearly dictate that Islam gives a very high value to the rights of children and we need to pay attention to this matter.

The Quran and Hadith shares equal rights of all men and women. Both have the right to be educated and to have the freedom of speech, choice and expressions. Today in the western world many people do not think positively about Islam. The western media has portrayed the image of Muslim women very badly. They claim that Islam does not allow the right of women to be educated or to work.

They claim that in Islam, women are treated as servants, but in reality, this is all false. Extremist groups such as Al Qaeda and Taliban have created such bad image of Islamic women. When they conquered Afghanistan, Iraq and upper areas of Pakistan, they destroyed all girls’ schools, colleges and universities.

They banned educated women working and banned them going out of the house without a male Mahram. In the Quran, it is mentioned clearly that men and women are equal, the prophet Muhammad Sallalaho Alayhi Wasalam has marked his words that men and women have equal rights to be educated and to have a job.

To erase this misconception of Muslim women being uneducated, this article will highlight some famous Muslim women in the history of the world. Way back in history in Prophet Muhammad Sallalaho Alayhi Wasalam’s time the prominent women were Ume-e-Aiman, Um-al-Fadl, Asma bint-e-Abibakr, Urwa, Asma bint-e-Umais, Ash-Shifa bint-e-Abdullah and Fatima bint-e-Qais.

The female warriors were Khwala bint al Azwar, Azda bint al Haris, Nusaibah bin Ka’ab, Umaimah bint-e-Qiyas,. Women scholars were Hazrat Ayesha, Asma binte-Abi Bakar, Zainab bint-e Abdullah, Hafsah bint-e-Umar and many more. Famous Muslim architects of those times were Safiyah, Banfsha bint Abdullah, Mariam bin Shams, and Al Udar al Kareema. Fatima al Fihri was the Muslim woman who founded the first university in the world, which is still present in Morocco, called University of Al Karaouine.

Razia Sultana ruled Delhi from 1236 to 1239, Shajarat ad-Durr ruled Egypt from 1250 to 1257. Benazir Bhutto was the first female prime Minister in the whole Asia region, and the first Muslim woman to be the Prime Minister. Dr. Qanta Ahmed is one of the best doctors known in the USA. Rabia Z is one of the most known Muslim Fashion designers, even among the western fashion world. She is known for her designs in the modest clothing.

Atife Jahjaga is the world’s youngest female president of Kosovo. Nana Asma’u was the princess of Nigeria, she was a poet and a teacher, and she worked for women to acquire education. Laleh Bakhtiar is an American woman, the first women to translate the Quran into English language. Anousheh Ansari is an American, the first female women to be in space. Many other famous Muslim women are great doctors, businessperson, politicians, designers, actors and singers. This shows that Muslim women are educated and they do have all the rights almost equal to those rights of a man.

If you want to lose weight, go on a Quranic diet. Which means get most of your calories from meat, dairy, and fruit. Use olive oil and honey. Avoid sugar, white flour, and other processed foods. Don’t eat grains or nuts if you can avoid them, because these are mentioned very little in the Quran. Meat is mentioned 100 times, while grains are mentioned only 7 times.

The Quranic diet is very similar to the recently popular paleolithic diet. It focuses on natural hunter-gatherer foods, the foods that our earliest ancestors enjoyed, which is mostly meat and fruit.

According to Why We Get Fat, the most scientific nutrition book written in recent history, the most important reason why people get fat is because of eating foods containing sugar and flour. The reason is that while humans cannot eat too much meat (because eating too much meat triggers human disgust responses), they can eat a lot more than they need of simple carbohydrates like sugar and flour because they do not trigger disgust responses.

Additionally, when we eat too much fat and protein, our bodies have mechanisms for throwing the unnecessary amounts we eat out. But our bodies have no such mechanism for getting rid of extra carbohydrates. When we eat too much carbohydrates, they get stored in our bodies as fat. They do not get thrown out. And this is the simple reason behind why we get fat.

Therefore a meat & fruit focused diet is a great way of keeping your weight in check. Note that fruit juice is fattening as well, you should eat the whole fruit, because fruit juice is a lot more concentrated in sugars than whole fruit. A glass of orange juice contains the concentrated sugars found in 10 oranges. You don’t normally sit down and eat ten oranges (I hope).

Another important concept is not eating too much. This was the original focus of this article. Prophet Muhammad SAW says:

Let people fill one third of their stomach with food, one third with drink and one third with nothing.”*

People who are used to a non-Quranic diet can’t imagine not eating until they feel full. The reason is what I mentioned above; bread and sugar do not trigger our satiation responses. Our bodies want to get infinite amounts of bread and sugar. But if you are on the Quranic diet, you will feel satiated earlier thanks to all the protein and fat found in meat, olives, and olive oil.

If you have read things opposite to what I recommend, please be aware that nutritional science is one of the least scientific branches of the sciences. The most important thing at the end of the day is the effect of your diet on you. If you are Muslim and you are able, it is worth it to give the Quranic diet a try.

The reasons why the majority of students are failing exams are stress, depression, pressure from parents or guardians, competition and comparison. These days’ parents and teachers put a lot of pressure on a student’s mind, which in the end makes them stressful and prone to nervousness. They fail the exams even when they know the answer. With the new technology coming up everyday many students have moved away from studies and are wasting their precious time with these gadgets. There are some students who don’t study year round but only when the last couple of months are left for the annual exams.

This article will highlight tips for passing exams and acquiring good grades. The first tip is to begin with the name of Allah Subhana Wa Tallah. Recite Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem. It will not only bless you and your work but provide help to be focused. Being attentive from the very first day of the year would help a lot. A student should concentrate harder on lectures from the beginning. Note each and everything dictated by the teacher and copy the things written on the board as they are exactly. After going home from school, college or institution the student should revise what was explained in the day’s lecture and then make notes neatly in a notebook. If the student keeps up with this pace for the first day then they will do very well in exams. For revision, these notes will help a lot.

The second tip is highlighting every important thing from the textbook and then solving the answers at the end. This will help student in comprehending the text and then giving the explanation later on. The third tip is to solve past papers and questions every day.

The fourth tip for the students is to maintain a daily diary.

This diary can mark the timings for specific things and activities; it will keep the routine running and will not keep the student in stress. It will also help in examinations. The students should work hard to achieve the targets in their life. The passing of exams is not sufficient to progress in life instead; students should participate in all positive activities.

Last but not the least; recite “Rab e Zidni ilmaa” lot of times throughout the day. This is a combination of very powerful words and helps in getting success, increases memory and enhances learning abilities.

It occurs in the third decade or Ramadan. The importance of this night can be understood from the fact that in the Holy Quran, a whole chapter (Surah 97, Al-Qadr) is dedicated to this night. In this chapter, Allah tells the Muslims that the importance of this night alone is greater than that of a thousand months. The verses of this chapter are stated below:

“We have indeed revealed this (Message) in the Night of Power: And what will explain to thee what the night of power is? The Night of Power is better than a thousand months. Therein come down the angels and the Spirit by Allah’s permission, on every errand: Peace!…This until the rise of dawn!”

The exact night on which Lail-at-ul-Qadr occurs cannot be given definitively. There are different views regarding the dates of the nights among which this night has to be found. The Sunni Muslims believe that Lail-at-ul-Qadr lies in the odd nights of the last decade of Ramadan. This means that according to them, Lail-at-ul-Qadr is either the 21^st or the 23^rd or the 25^th or the 27^th or the 29^th night of this holy month. The general belief is that this night lies on the 27^th night of Ramadan.

The Shia Muslims believe that this night lies in the last ten odd nights of Ramadan, but the general belief is regarding the 19^th or the 21^st or the 23^rd night, because the relation of these nights with the martyrdom of Hazrat Ali (R.A).

What makes Lail-at-ul-Qadr so special among all the nights? Lail-at-ul-Qadr is also the night in which the Quran was revealed. Muslims unanimously believe that the revelation of Holy Quran concluded in two different stages, the first of which was the revelation of the whole Quran from Allah to angel Jibrail. This first stage was completed in this night. Muslims also believe that the first verses of the Holy Quran were revealed to Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) on this night.

Lail-at-ul-Qadr is known by various different names among Muslims. These names include the Night of Power, the Night of Measures, the Night of Value and the Night of Destiny. These names themselves suggest the significance associated with this night in Islam.

In view of the incredible importance of this night, Muslims engage themselves in worships and prayers all night. These prayers often seek Allah’s mercy and forgiveness, and ask Allah to grant the wishes of the believer.

Suddenly I didn’t know how to open my mouth. But I had to let her know what I was thinking. I want a divorce. I raised the topic calmly. She didn’t seem to be annoyed by my words, instead she asked me softly, why?

I avoided her question. This made her angry. She threw away the chopsticks and shouted at me, you are not a man! That night, we didn’t talk to each other. She was weeping. I knew she wanted to find out what had happened to our marriage. But I could hardly give her a satisfactory answer; she had lost my heart to Jane. I didn’t love her anymore. I just pitied her!

With a deep sense of guilt, I drafted a divorce agreement which stated that she could own our house, our car, and 30% stake of my company. She glanced at it and then tore it into pieces. The woman who had spent ten years of her life with me had become a stranger. I felt sorry for her wasted time, resources and energy but I could not take back what I had said for I loved Jane so dearly. Finally she cried loudly in front of me, which was what I had expected to see. To me her cry was actually a kind of release. The idea of divorce which had obsessed me for several weeks seemed to be firmer and clearer now.

The next day, I came back home very late and found her writing something at the table. I didn’t have supper but went straight to sleep and fell asleep very fast because I was tired after an eventful day with Jane. When I woke up, she was still there at the table writing. I just did not care so I turned over and was asleep again.

In the morning she presented her divorce conditions: she didn’t want anything from me, but needed a month’s notice before the divorce. She requested that in that one month we both struggle to live as normal a life as possible. Her reasons were simple: our son had his exams in a month’s time and she didn’t want to disrupt him with our broken marriage.

This was agreeable to me. But she had something more, she asked me to recall how I had carried her into out bridal room on our wedding day. She requested that every day for the month’s duration I carry her out of our bedroom to the front door ever morning. I thought she was going crazy. Just to make our last days together bearable I accepted her odd request.

I told Jane about my wife’s divorce conditions. . She laughed loudly and thought it was absurd. No matter what tricks she applies, she has to face the divorce, she said scornfully.

My wife and I hadn’t had any body contact since my divorce intention was explicitly expressed. So when I carried her out on the first day, we both appeared clumsy. Our son clapped behind us, daddy is holding mommy in his arms. His words brought me a sense of pain. From the bedroom to the sitting room, then to the door, I walked over ten meters with her in my arms. She closed her eyes and said softly; don’t tell our son about the divorce. I nodded, feeling somewhat upset. I put her down outside the door. She went to wait for the bus to work. I drove alone to the office.

On the second day, both of us acted much more easily. She leaned on my chest. I could smell the fragrance of her blouse. I realized that I hadn’t looked at this woman carefully for a long time. I realized she was not young any more. There were fine wrinkles on her face, her hair was graying! Our marriage had taken its toll on her. For a minute I wondered what I had done to her.

On the fourth day, when I lifted her up, I felt a sense of intimacy returning. This was the woman who had given ten years of her life to me. On the fifth and sixth day, I realized that our sense of intimacy was growing again. I didn’t tell Jane about this. It became easier to carry her as the month slipped by. Perhaps the everyday workout made me stronger.

She was choosing what to wear one morning. She tried on quite a few dresses but could not find a suitable one. Then she sighed, all my dresses have grown bigger. I suddenly realized that she had grown so thin, that was the reason why I could carry her more easily.

Suddenly it hit me… she had buried so much pain and bitterness in her heart. Subconsciously I reached out and touched her head.

Our son came in at the moment and said, Dad, it’s time to carry mom out. To him, seeing his father carrying his mother out had become an essential part of his life. My wife gestured to our son to come closer and hugged him tightly. I turned my face away because I was afraid I might change my mind at this last minute. I then held her in my arms, walking from the bedroom, through the sitting room, to the hallway. Her hand surrounded my neck softly and naturally. I held her body tightly; it was just like our wedding day.

But her much lighter weight made me sad. On the last day, when I held her in my arms I could hardly move a step. Our son had gone to school. I held her tightly and said, I hadn’t noticed that our life lacked intimacy. I drove to office…. jumped out of the car swiftly without locking the door. I was afraid any delay would make me change my mind…I walked upstairs. Jane opened the door and I said to her, Sorry, Jane, I do not want the divorce anymore.

She looked at me, astonished, and then touched my forehead. Do you have a fever? She said. I moved her hand off my head. Sorry, Jane, I said, I won’t divorce. My marriage life was boring probably because she and I didn’t value the details of our lives, not because we didn’t love each other anymore. Now I realize that since I carried her into my home on our wedding day I am supposed to hold her until death do us apart. Jane seemed to suddenly wake up. She gave me a loud slap and then slammed the door and burst into tears. I walked downstairs and drove away. At the floral shop on the way, I ordered a bouquet of flowers for my wife. The salesgirl asked me what to write on the card. I smiled and wrote, I’ll carry you out every morning until death do us apart.

That evening I arrived home, flowers in my hands, a smile on my face, I run up stairs, only to find my wife in the bed -dead. My wife had been fighting CANCER for months and I was so busy with Jane to even notice. She knew that she would die soon and she wanted to save me from the whatever negative reaction from our son, in case we push through with the divorce.— At least, in the eyes of our son—- I’m a loving husband….

The small details of your lives are what really matter in a relationship. It is not the mansion, the car, property, the money in the bank. These create an environment conducive for happiness but cannot give happiness in themselves.

So find time to be your spouse’s friend and do those little things for each other that build intimacy. Do have a real happy marriage!

Tattoos are prohibited or forbidden in Islam. This verdict as proved by the Quran and Sunnah should be enough for the believing Muslims or believers in Islam but there is a group of people who keep on debating on this issue. They want to know why tattoos are prohibited or haraam but piercing of ears is allowed in Islam. If piercing with needle is haraam then why do the Muslim girls adorn their ears and nose by piercing to wear earrings and nose pins. There are lots of WHYs and sometimes all this becomes too confusing for new converts and people with weak faith in Islam.

Verdict of Quran & Sunnah

According to Quran and as told to Muslims through hadees or Prophet’s sayings any act that can hurt a person physically, mentally and spiritually is haraam and prohibited. More strictness and penalties are on those acts which are done intentionally to hurt fellow men, animals and including plants and non living things such as property of others which indirectly become a cause of hurt, injury or damage of other human beings. All these are categories of sins and hurting oneself, suicide and inducing pain in one way or the other is also called haraam or prohibited acts. Piercing one’s ears and body, injecting chemicals into the body in the name of art, fashion, display and fun is not at all wise as well as prohibited by Allah and His Apostle.

To Pierce or not to Pierce

The debate should be on the acts that are harmful for the body or not. Tattoo making is one of them. Piercing of ears and nose is not a part of Islamic culture but it is a part of Indian, African and many other cultures in the world. Muslims living in those parts of the world have adopted the norms and culture. They are merely following norms of the society they are living in. So, it is their own choice but they are answerable for their deeds like all the other Muslims in the court of Allah.

Why Tatttoos are Haraam

Women have been told and guided by Allah’s Apostle to dye their hands with Henna and their hair to appear beautiful for their husbands. No where it had been stated haraam the use of herbal extracts and products. Chemical based ingredients and products are not good for health and therefore, they were discouraged and prohibited. Same goes for the case of tattoo making in Islam.

Tattoo ink when injected in the skin can cause many unwanted and undesirable physical conditions including severe allergies, and may lead to the removal of lymph glands. They are teratogenic, one of the leading causes of mutations and carcinogenic problems. Do not pay the price of ignorance and learn more about this tattoo making procedure, the ingredients used for creating tattoo ink and the aftermath of having tattoos on your skin before subjecting yourself to having the procedure done.

A typical Islamic marriage, one in which Islamic rules are being observed, is a symbol of love and unity. Islam prohibits dowry being obtained from the parents of the bride. The man is responsible for all the expenses. Islamic wedding parties are supposed to be attended by close family members and friends of the boy and the girl. This ceremony is supposed to be a simple one instead of being very pompous or elaborate.

Parents of the girl are to give only the essentials to their daughter. Hence it puts no economic or social pressure on them. This is different to Western traditions, where the bride’s parents are supposed to provide her with a dowry, as well as pay for the wedding.

Islam gives equal rights to man and woman. A woman has the right to file a divorce case under Islamic laws. Islam gives ultimate freedom to women by declaring that if a woman does not like her husband for some reason, she can get a divorce without further delay. A man is entitled to the same consideration.

A Muslim man is responsible for earning for the household. He is bound by Islamic law to keep his wife happy and comfortable otherwise the woman has the right to leave him. Again this varies greatly from the Westerner, who technically has to provide for the woman, but all too often does not. The Islamic system also propagates a separate family setup in which husband and wife are allowed to have personal privacy. In the Islam world, the husband has to be just in his relationship with his woman. This is despite the fact that Islam allows the man to marry four times but he must seek the first woman’s permission for it. It is allowed only if the man is capable of being just to all of them. In the Western world, this is forbidden and punishable in a court-of-law if the law of monogamy is broken.

Giving man and woman equal rights and conferring equal duties shows that Islam wants a house to be an institute where living together is not a compulsion. Living together should arise out of love and not be a compromise. Islam believes in love and pursues this aim in every walk of life with ultimate determination.

Of course, every mechanism of this world, may it be mechanical, electrical or natural in characteristics, works on some defined principles and codes of conduct. And same goes the process with the mechanism of human life on earth. It needed something to guide it through and that code of conduct or set of laws came to man in the form of religion Islam. As it goes without saying that Islam is the religion that conforms to the human nature, that is, every single law mentioned and defined in this religion is right according to the straight nature of man. The followers of this religion require nothing supernatural or superhuman.

However, still, a number of critics from other religions who find it a challenge to disprove the natural approach of Islamic laws known as Sharia. Bulk of literature has been published over this issue but the amazing thing is that despite of these efforts, which spread over hundreds of years, the critics, especially the Jews have not been able to comfortably disapprove the worth of any of the laws stated in Sharia. And there are some really good reasons for this.

The first reason is the conformity of Sharia with the natural culture and behavior of human being in all eras of the world. For example, the laws relating to the penalties of certain sins, laws relating to the rights of women, children and neighborhoods, principles of business and partnership, system of governance and all other social set ups have been defined so clearly that it hardly takes a few moments to realize that these statements are all satisfying the natural requirement of our cultural and social systems. Therefore, the Jewish critics hardly find a space to criticize or argument over these laws mentioned in Islamic Sharia.

Then comes the proof of Islamic reality from the holy books of Jews. At a number of points in the holy books of Jews, they find signs and statements about the truthfulness and rightfulness of Islam and Islamic laws, thought most of those critics simply refuse to accept those statements in their own books or try interpreting their meanings in a way that they do not support Islamic Sharia.

Other reason is the scientific logics of Islamic laws. Most of the laws are such that a number of non-Muslim scholars and scientists have admired them scientifically and philosophically. This makes a reasonable hindrance to their criticism over Sharia. Therefore, it can be safely concluded that the Jewish lobby against Islam is working day and day out for exaggerating various aspects of Islamic laws but the fact of the matter is that they have not been able to do so because of solid foundations and universal truthfulness of Islam.

Root of life

Sunnah of love

It has been defined as the thing that is common to all and also as the best in literal and theoretical sages.

It is not the thing that can be got by threatening or through other ways. It is the one that most people get in the form of divine love because of their comfort and mutual acceptance.

Expressing your love

The sunnah of love would provide every individual with the following things, in order to make out their life as the lovely one and those are as follows:

• Every person should express love to loved ones by all means. This would probably increase the comfort and love between them
• It would be better to avoid unnecessary arguments and also have to be mutual in all the things
• It is also necessary to make their love to be happy always

The following is from the English translation of a section of the abridged tafsir based on the book ‘tayseer ila usul it-tafsir’ by Shaykh Ata bin Khalil Abu Rishta.

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا سَوَاءٌ عَلَيْهِمْ أَأَنْذَرْتَهُمْ أَمْ لَمْ تُنْذِرْهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ

خَتَمَ اللَّهُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ وَعَلَىٰ سَمْعِهِمْ ۖ وَعَلَىٰ أَبْصَارِهِمْ غِشَاوَةٌ ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ

“Verily, those who disbelieve, it is the same to them whether you warn them or do not warn them, they will not believe.” {6}

“Allah has set a seal on their hearts and on their hearings, and on their eyes there is a covering. Theirs will be a great torment.” {7}

Allah سبحانه وتعالى explained in the previous verses that the book is from Allah in truth and that there is no doubt in it. He سبحانه وتعالى explained the status of those who are guided by the book and have taqwa, as the successful ones. Then Allah سبحانه وتعالى explained in verses 6 and 7 the situation of those who reject; that warning them does not benefit them, because Allah has sealed their hearts.

These verses are like an answer to a question by one in confusion about his command, asking why did Allah not guide the disbelievers? This is because if the Arabs say “inna ‘Abdallah qaaim” “verily, Abdullah is standing”, then this is an answer to one who is doubtful about the standing and therefore questions Abdullah’s standing. So, when Allah سبحانه وتعالى begins the verse with إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ سَوَاءٌ , linguistically it will be according to what has just been mentioned.

“Abdullah qaaim” (Abdullah is standing) is information about his standing.

“inna Abdullah qaaim” (verily Abdullah is standing) is an answer to one questioning about his standing and he is doubtful about it.

“inna Abdullah la-qaaim” (verily Abdullah is not standing) is an answer to one questioning and he is denying the standing. Mubarad said this.

The appearance of the hamzat ut-tasweeyah (أ) along with أَمْ (or) makes them free from the meaning of enquiry, and establishes the equality between both of them, i.e. with regards to the disbelievers, it is the same whether you warn them or not, they won’t believe – thus, equalising between the two situations.

If the word سَوَاءٌ ‘whether’ has the alif al-istifhaam (alif of enquiry) after it, then it must come with أَمْ (or) e.g. سَوَاءٌ عليّ أقمت أم قعدت ‘it is the same to me whether you stood or sat’. If one of two names were joined (عطف) after it, they are عطف joined with و ‘and’, none other, e.g. سَوَاءٌ عندي زيد وعمرو ‘Zaid and Amr are the same to me’. If after it there were two verbs and no istifhaam, then they are عطف joined together with أَوْ (or) e.g. سَوَاءٌ عليّ قمت أو قعدت ‘it is the same to me whether you stood or sat’. If there were two verbal nouns after it, e.g. سَوَاءٌ عليّ قيامك و قعودك ‘it is the same to me whether your standing or your sitting’, then they are عطف joined with و ‘and’ or with أَوْ (or).

Some further issues arise from this discussion.

1. The term الَّذِينَ (those who) is from the forms of generality, so with this meaning Allah سبحانه وتعالى informs us that those who disbelieve will not become believers, whatever the warning or bringing Islam to them. So, is this matter left general or is it specified at all?

This matter is certainly not left general, as Rasul Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم was sent to bring Islam to the disbelievers. Whoever believed from them became a believer and whoever remained, remained on kufr. Therefore, this general text is specified, with the specification being completed here with the mind. The mind can specify the shariah text if the subject matter was the aqeedah, i.e. kufr and iman, because the mind is the way to iman. Similarly, the mind specifies His سبحانه وتعالى saying:

ذَٰلِكُمُ اللَّهُ رَبُّكُمْ خَالِقُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ فَأَنَّىٰ تُؤْفَكُونَ

“That is Allah, your Lord, the Creator of all things, none has the right to be worshipped but He, so how have you been turned away?” [Al-Ghaafir, 40:62]

So, كُلِّ شَيْءٍ “all things” is general, but it is specified by the mind to other than Allah سبحانه وتعالى. The verse إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ “those who disbelieve” is specified by the mind to the tribes of the disbelievers whom Rasul Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم was told would never become believers. It is authentically narrated from Ibn Abbas (ra) that he said: “this verse is about the learned Jews who were at the time of Rasul Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم and did not become believers.” Ar-Rabee’ bin Anas said: “it was sent down about some men from Quraysh who were killed at Badr.” Others said that it is about specific kuffar like Abu Lahab and Abu Jahl… [Tafsir at-Tabari 1:109]

2. Referring the ‘sealing’ back to Allah خَتَمَ اللّهُ عَلَى قُلُوبِهمْ is from the mutashabih (having more than one interpretation). The stronger opinion is that the meaning is that those specific kuffar insisted on their kufr, objecting to the truth, so that was cemented in their hearts, such that it was as if they were created with locked, closed hearts that do not accept iman or guidance. It follows then, that the meaning is majaz (metaphorical) for solidifying their hearts’ and insistence on kufr, is as though Allah created them with that attribute.

The الخَتَمَ (seal) and الغِشَاوَةٌ (the covering) can be used to indicate their dominant determination to disbelieve, so it is as though they are deaf, dumb and blind, as in the verse:

صُمٌّ بُكْمٌ عُمْيٌ فَهُمْ لاَ يَعْقِلُونَ

“deaf, dumb and blind. So they do not understand” [al-baqarah, 2:171]

Allah سبحانه وتعالى mentioned الخَتَمَ (the seal) for القلب (the heart) and السمع (the hearing), and mentioned الغِشَاوَةٌ (the covering) for the sight, due to the suitability of الخَتَمَ, which is locking and stamping with a seal for the heart (the mind).

Because of this, the complete pause after سَمْعِهِمْ:

خَتَمَ اللّهُ عَلَى قُلُوبِهمْ وَعَلَى سَمْعِهِمْ وَعَلَى أَبْصَارِهِمْ غِشَاوَةٌ

is preferred rather than continuing the recitation, because الخَتَمَ is for السمع and القلوب, with the و ‘and’ after it is for initiating a new statement, hence غِشَاوَةٌ has two damma (the grammatical indicator of the beginning part of a new sentence).

القلب is used metaphorically here to mean the mind, due to its similarity in importance to the body. In the language of the Arabs the heart is used metaphorically to mean the mind in more than one situation. The Qur’an was sent down in the language of the Arabs and this usage is in more than one verse. Allah talked of the mind by mentioning the heart in many verses. For example:

فَتَكُونَ لَهُمْ قُلُوبٌ يَعْقِلُونَ بِهَا

“and have they hearts wherewith to understand” [al-hajj, 22:46]

Comprehension with the hearing and heart (mind) is not limited to only one angle as the sight is. You hear matters from more than one angle and understand them from more than one side, yet you see with your two eyes what is in front of you, i.e. only one angle. So, الخَتَمَ was suitable for القلب and السمع to lock from more than one angle, while الغِشَاوَةٌ (the covering) was suitable for الأبصار (the sight) to lock from one angle. Therefore, الخَتَمَ is not used to describe the eyes at all in the book of Allah, nor in the narrations of Rasul Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم, nor does it exist in the language of anyone of the Arabs, as far as I know.

3. Allah سبحانه وتعالى repeated the word عَلَى “upon”

خَتَمَ اللّهُ عَلَى قُلُوبِهمْ وَعَلَى سَمْعِهِمْ وَعَلَى أَبْصَارِهِمْ غِشَاوَةٌ

to emphasise the severity of الخَتَمَ, as though الخَتَمَ was completed in two places, القلب (the heart) and السمع (the hearing), which is stronger than الخَتَمَ in only one place. For example, the one who protects something by putting it into a locked container inside a locked house, is stronger protection than putting it into a locked container inside an unlocked house. It is the same in this verse. Repeating عَلَى necessitates noticing the meaning of the related action (خَتَمَ), as though it was mentioned twice (i.e. خَتَمَ اللّهُ عَلَى قُلُوبِهمْ وَعَلَى سَمْعِهِمْ). Therefore, they said about the sentence “مررتُ بزيد وعمرو I happened upon Zayd and Amr” that it is one occasion, whereas the sentence “مررتُ بزيد وبعمرو I happened upon Zayd and upon Amr” that they are two occasions, as though when you repeated the particle you said “مررتُ بزيد ومررتُ بعمرو I happened upon Zayd and I happened upon Amr.” The two occasions is stronger in meaning than just using the عطف joining together without repeating the genitive particle, due to what is in the عطف joining together of the meaning on one occasion or two.

4. Allah brought the words القلوب (hearts) and الأبصار (sight) in their plural forms, while He سبحانه وتعالى brought the word السمع (hearing) in the singular. The word السمع does not come in the whole of the Qur’an al-kareem except in the singular. Some said about that: “السمع is a verbal noun in origin: it is said سمعت الشيئ سمعا وسماعا and the verbal nouns do not come as plurals as they are the names of categories”, except that this is not precise, because “الاسماع” did come in the language of the Arabs, but it is rare and seldom heard.

The preferred opinion is that the differences between people’s thinking and minds in relation to matters, and also their differences in seeing things with the eyes, is more common than their differences in hearing these matters, so the hearts (minds) and sight were made plural, while the hearing was left singular.

Because of that, when العلم i.e. اليقين certainty is mentioned in another verse, such that العلم indicates the lack of differences, so, the hearing, sight and the heart all come in the singular:

وَلاَ تَقْفُ مَا لَيْسَ لَكَ بِهِ عِلْمٌ إِنَّ السَّمْعَ وَالْبَصَرَ وَالْفُؤَادَ كُلُّ أُولـئِكَ كَانَ عَنْهُ مَسْؤُولاً

“And follow not that of which you have no knowledge of. Verily! The hearing, and the sight, and the heart, about each of those you will be questioned.” [Al-Israa, 17:36]

The subject of the heart, hearing and sight

1. In the Qur’an al-kareem comes the mentioning of the hearts first, then the hearing and then the sight when the matter is linked to iman, as the mind is its tool.

خَتَمَ اللّهُ عَلَى قُلُوبِهمْ وَعَلَى سَمْعِهِمْ وَعَلَى أَبْصَارِهِمْ غِشَاوَةٌ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عظِيمٌ

“Allah has set a seal on their hearts and on their hearings, and on their eyes there is a covering. Theirs will be a great torment.” [al-Baqarah, 2:7]

After

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا سَوَاءٌ عَلَيْهِمْ أَأَنْذَرْتَهُمْ أَمْ لَمْ تُنْذِرْهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ

“Verily, those who disbelieve, it is the same to them whether you warn them or do not warn them, they will not believe.” [al-baqarah, 2:6]

ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمُ اسْتَحَبُّوا الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا عَلَى الْآخِرَةِ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الْكَافِرِينَ

أُولَٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ طَبَعَ اللَّهُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ وَسَمْعِهِمْ وَأَبْصَارِهِمْ ۖ وَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْغَافِلُونَ

“That is because they loved and preferred the life of this world over that of the Hereafter. And Allah guides not the people who disbelieve. They are those upon whose hearts, hearing and sight Allah has set a seal. And they are the heedless!” [an-Nahl, 16:107-108]

2. If the matter was about other than iman and was about following the warning and guidance, hearing was brought forward, because it is the direct tool for the transmission. Allah سبحانه وتعالى says:

أَفَرَأَيْتَ مَنِ اتَّخَذَ إِلَهَهُ هَوَاهُ وَأَضَلَّهُ اللَّهُ عَلَى عِلْمٍ وَخَتَمَ عَلَى سَمْعِهِ وَقَلْبِهِ وَجَعَلَ عَلَى بَصَرِهِ غِشَاوَةً فَمَن يَهْدِيهِ مِن بَعْدِ اللَّهِ أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ

“Have you seen him who takes his own lust as his god, and Allah knowingly, left him astray, and sealed his hearing and his heart, and put a cover on his sight. Who then will guide him after Allah? Will you not then remember?” [al-Jathiyah, 45:23]

It is transgression due to not heeding the warnings, therefore the end of the verse came with أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ, so it was suitable here to bring forward the hearing.

3. When Allah سبحانه وتعالى mentioned His favours for his servants, by creating them, He mentioned the hearing, the sight and the heart in order, which points to the order of creating these organs. He سبحانه وتعالى says:

وَاللّهُ أَخْرَجَكُم مِّن بُطُونِ أُمَّهَاتِكُمْ لاَ تَعْلَمُونَ شَيْئًا وَجَعَلَ لَكُمُ الْسَّمْعَ وَالأَبْصَارَ وَالأَفْئِدَةَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ

“And Allah has brought you out from the wombs of your mothers while you know nothing. And He gave you hearing, sight, and hearts that you might give thanks.” [an-Nahl, 16:78]

وَهُوَ الَّذِي أَنشَأَ لَكُمُ السَّمْعَ وَالْأَبْصَارَ وَالْأَفْئِدَةَ قَلِيلًا مَّا تَشْكُرُونَ

“It is He, Who has created for you hearing, sight, and hearts. Little thanks you give.” [al-Mu'minoon, 23:78]

قُلْ هُوَ الَّذِي أَنشَأَكُمْ وَجَعَلَ لَكُمُ السَّمْعَ وَالْأَبْصَارَ وَالْأَفْئِدَةَ قَلِيلًا مَّا تَشْكُرُونَ

“Say it is He Who has created you, and endowed you with hearing, seeing, and hearts. Little thanks you give.” [al-Mulk, 67:23]

ثُمَّ سَوَّاهُ وَنَفَخَ فِيهِ مِن رُّوحِهِ وَجَعَلَ لَكُمُ السَّمْعَ وَالْأَبْصَارَ وَالْأَفْئِدَةَ قَلِيلًا مَّا تَشْكُرُونَ

“Then He fashioned him in due proportion, and breathed into him the soul, and He gave you hearing, sight and hearts. Little is the thanks you give!” [Sajda, 32:9]

Imam Ahmad Raza Khan RAH and other religious scholars have discussed about many different schools of thoughts that consider Shaitaan as their guide or Murshid. Muslims should only consult and follow true religion based on Quran and Sunnah. Following the cults will definitely direct Muslims in the wrong directions that will cause the rage of Allah. Followers of cults are the slaves of darkness and illiteracy.

The wicked deceivers criticize the teachings of Ulema. They jeer, mock and spread misconceptions such as Ulema and Fuqraa differ from each other and they have lots of differences in their thoughts and preaching.  These evil jesters question on the most educated and qualified Ulema and cast doubts about their veracity.  They criticize them, declare them as “pundits”, and claim that they should show off their spiritual powers and show evidence in the form of miracles like Prophets of Bani Israel.

Heretics that are self pro-claimed saints Walis and Dervaishs say that following Shari’ah is only essential as long as a person has not found the true path.  Once the person stops searching and have adopted Sufism to become closer to Allah, it is not required. He can stop following Shari’ah once he has done Ba’ait and reached his destination as per his disillusion and ill faith.

So-called Peers is another group of people that is very active in creating misconceptions in the hearts of the innocent Muslims. These are uneducated, uncultured and uncultivated so called Peer’s or Murshids who read various books and claim that they have real knowledge or Ilm e Laduni. In fact, these people only have information collected from various sources. Half truth is more lethal than the whole lie. Moreover, they deny the position of prestigious religious scholars or Iyema karaam and present them as learned and competent faculty in various fields of Shari’ah and Fiqah.

Part 2

Rashaadites or Submitters believe that Rashaad Khalifa is messenger of Allah SWT (Naozbillah). This cult is misguiding Muslims by preaching to emphasize only upon Quran and ignore the sayings our beloved Prophet Muhammad SAAS. They have rejected two of the verses of Holy Quran and have changed the method of ablution and prayers as well.

Habashi or Al Ahbash: are the followers of Abdullah Al-Harawi Al-Habashi also known as Sheikh Al-Fitnah. He was known to have strange characteristics that matched with those of the Jews and invented many innovations.

Ismaili religious group is another cult that is not following the Quran and Sunah. The Ismailis follow Agha Khan who declared him as mazhar of manifest of Allah SWT on earth (Naozbillah).

Believers in Ahmadiyyia or more popular Qadiani Movement in the subcontinent have the most erroneous beliefs. Ahmadi or Qadiani follow the false prophet Mirza Ghulam Ahmad. They have rejected not only Holy Quran but jihad also and believe in the incarnation like the Hindus.

Nation of Islam is another cult that is based on blasphemies and they are definitely not in the circle of Islam with their so-called beliefs. One of the famous Nation of Islam followers was Malcom X who converted from Christian to so-called Muslim. Later on, he embraced Sunni Islam and performed pilgrimage.

The real Islam is the same described by the Holy Quran and Sunah. There is no need of bringing any innovations in Islam but yes, we need to check on our beliefs if they are the same as of the true believers or not.

I was losing memories of what had happened to me all these times while I was in the journey. My pains were leaving my body as it turned cold and numb. At last, I am where I meant to be – relaxed – not aware of my surroundings – tired but still keeping little hope inside me. I was near to my destination. Yes, I am finally there.

I had forgotten my path. I was astray but now I feel I am there. The fountain oozing out of the mountainous grounds will take me directly to where I need to belong. I need to belong to those valleys of love where springs and lakes give birth to idyllic banks. I need to belong to those high wild mountains where flowers in vivacious colors bloom at dawn. Where I can touch the clouds and feel the wind beneath my arms, caressing the sides of my body as I spread my arms – I am ready to embrace the realities – no more give me pain – I am ready to jump in the ocean of rainbow colors –  I am absorbing all the energies like a sponge in water. I am flying and flying and flying again.

When a person wakes up after long sleep, he finds out that all he saw or did was in his dream. A long dream that sometimes looks so real. Waking up also means getting rid of false ego – false notions – false truths. The world with its so much charm is nothing more than but beautiful illusion. No one can live in his or her dreams forever. So, one day every being or nafs wakes up to find him all alone in the jungle. He is left alone because all those who were with him left behind, as they could not break the spell. Like that, story where the people were warned not to look back and if they did they would be turned into stones. Same way if the person cannot give up the thoughts of what he left behind he can lose his track and concentration – turn into a stone.

That trodden path or trail is the same track many people before him had walked on. It is full of dangers and risks. It is not easy but every person who wanted to reach the destination had to be on it. Perhaps, the right path is the most difficult thing to follow but those who wanted to reach the fountains of real knowledge or ilm had never left their heart. The springs of Noor or Divine Light ooze out of the illuminated heart. Those who had given up on their Nafs or Ego are the owners of such illuminated hearts. From their heart comes out the wisdom – the true words – the real love and blessed are those who reach to them for the connection of their heart to them.

When the seeker finds the true healer of hearts or Murshid he knows he has come to his final destination. His worldly lust will now leave him forever and he will find peace in the feet of his master or Murshid. The search for Murshid keeps him perturbed and he remains anxious after the awakening begins.  His curiosity never subsides until he drowns him in the waters of spring. He feels calm and relaxed and wants to start from scratch. Knowing only this time he is going to find a way to please Him SWT at last. His quest begins in the dark corners of his heart and ends in the bright circle of Noor. After finding the Murshid he has done him a great big favor and now he can find some time to relax.

The true Murshid will intoxicate him with the true love and let him drown in the ocean of Noor. The real Murshid can adorn his heart with wisdom – let him recognize the true path to reach Falah or the higher level of tranquility and peace. The one who is sent by Allah SWT will release the heart of the seeker of all doubts, fears, and illusions and inform him of the unseen and hidden qualities, attributes and capabilities. He shall remove the veils of darkness and falsehood and at the same time prepare him for the eternal realities.

The seeker will now feel no more lonely and alone. He will find more like him and they are his true relations made by heart. Every seeking heart for truth shall connect the other heart beseeching Divine. The one who has the questions in his or her heart to know the reality of his or her being, presence on earth and the true spirit of Deen should find them true masters to keep them safe. Satanic interventions are stronger in the heart of true seeker so he or she may refrain from all those activities that bring him or her in a problematic situation.

Get in touch with your real healer of heart and get cured by his words, his intentions and prayers. To seek the true healer, Murshid, or teacher there is a way. First of all, Ask Allah ji SWT for the trace of real Murshid for you and then search the person who is following Quran and Sunah in the highest manner and who is soft spoken, well versed with Fiqa, Tafseer and Shira, equipped with latest scientific knowledge, psychology, philosophy, social sciences. The real Murshid will have all the qualities to be superior to others and he will be the true successor of Aqa Kareem our Beloved Prophet Sallalaho alay hi wasalam.

Importance of Zakaat-

• Zakaat is one of the five foundations that Islam is built on. If one foundation is weak then the whole foundation of Islam gets vulnerable.
• The reason behind Zakaat is to purify the human soul and keep that person from envy, lustfulness, stinginess and greed.
• Zakaat is given to help and fulfill needs of the poor and deprived people.
• Zakaat is given to establish peace and harmony within a community.
• Through Zakaat the distance between rich and poor people gets narrower.
• This system of Zakaat keeps the economy balanced by sharing the wealth of the rich people with the poor ones.
• Zakaat is a test for the human being by Allah. A person who willingly obeys the order makes Allah happy.

These are the reason the Muslim brotherhood sincerely and honestly pay Zakaat to make the world a better place to live in by maintaining peace and helping out the poor.

Islam is the religion of peace. Islam is the only religion which gives the perfect peaceful life to a human.  This religion never supported any type of fighting. It only gives the permission to go for Zihad only for established Islam, but still there are many condition is in there. Now, the general pardon after triumph of Makkah is another example of peaceful Islam.

Before the triumph of Islam, the enemies of Islam did a great harm the greatest prophet Hazarat Muhammad sm. For them Hazrat Muhammad sm did not able to lead his life perfectly. Even, the enemies of Islam made the road imperfect while the last prophet was walking through that road.

While he was in Makkah, enemies of Islam tried to kill him many times. For them Hazrat Muhammad sm left Makkah. These people not only did this harm to Last prophet Hazat Muhammad sm, but they also did a great harm to Islam.  They filled kabba with 360 idols and stones. They killed lots of Muslims. They did not allowed the normal Muslim people to did the normal activities of Islam religion.

Even these enemies did a great harm to this Islam, but after the triumph of Makkah, the greatest prophet Hazrat Muhammad sm, gave a general pardon to all of these enemies. This is an example of peaceful Islam.

However, only believers can achieve genuine happiness. All forms of
happiness attained without a firm belief in God, the Almighty, are mere
illusions.

*The following are some tips to achieve happiness:*

· Know that if you do not live within the scope of today, your
thoughts will be scattered, your affairs will become confused, and your
anxiety will increase. These facts are explained in the following Ahadith:

“When you are in the evening, do not expect to see the morning, and
when you are in the morning, do not expect to see the evening.” *(Saheeh
Al-Bukhari)*

· Forget the past and all that it contained, focus on the present.

· Do not completely preoccupy yourself with the future and then
discard the present. Be balanced in life, prepare yourself adequately for
all situations.

· Do not be shaken by criticism; instead, be firm. Be sure that in
proportion to your worth, the level of people’s criticism rises. Also, make
good use of criticism in discovering your shortcomings and faults, and let
it drive you toward self-improvement.

· Have complete faith in God and perform good deeds; these are the
ingredients that make up a good and happy life.

· If you desire peace, tranquility and comfort, you can find it all
in the remembrance of God.

· You should know with certainty that everything that happens,
occurs in accordance with the divine decree.

· Do not expect gratitude from anyone.

· Train yourself to be prepared for the worst.

· Perhaps what has happened is in your best interest, even though
you may not comprehend how that can be so.

· Everything that is decreed for the believer is the best for him.

· Enumerate the blessings of God and be thankful for them.

· Remember that you are better-off than many others.

· Relief comes from one hour to the next. Indeed, with each
difficulty there is relief.

· In both times of hardship and ease, one should turn to
supplication and prayer, either patiently contented or thankful.

· Calamities should strengthen your heart and reshape your outlook
in a positive way.

· Do not let trivialities be the cause of your undoing.

· Always remember that your God is Oft-Forgiving.

· Assume an easy-going attitude and avoid anger.

· Life is bread, water and shade; so do not be perturbed by a lack
of any other material thing.

· “And in the heaven is your providence and that which you are
promised.” *(Qur’an 51:22)*

· A daunting misfortune that seemingly will happen usually never
occurs.

· Look at those who have more afflictions and be grateful that you
have less.

· Bear in mind the fact that God loves those who endure trials with
steadfastness, so seek to be one of them.

· Constantly repeat those supplications that the Prophet, may the
mercy and blessings of God be upon him, taught us to say during times of
hardship.

· Work hard at something that is productive, and cast off idleness.

· Do not spread rumors and do not listen to them. If you hear a
rumor inadvertently, do not believe it.

· Know that your malice and your desire to seek revenge are much
more harmful to your health than they are to your antagonist.

· The hardships that befall you atone for your sins, if you endure
with patience.

On the other hand, Dhikr Allah is purely for those who seek pleasure in the remembrance of Allah Subhana wa Tallah. Dhikr Allah gives comfort to the heart of contemplator and it is obligatory for those who are in love with Allah Subhana wa Tallah. There is no certain posture or any limit to doing the Dhikr. You only have to have intentions to please your Lord, Allah Subhana wa Tallah when performing Dhikr.

You can do dhikr when you are alone and there is no compulsion of ablution when dhikr is performed in heart.  Allah Subhana wa Tallah says in Holy Quran “Lo! In the creation of the Heavens and the earth and in the night and day are tokens (of His sovereignty) for men of understanding, such as remember Allah, in standing, sitting, and reclining”.  [Qur'an 3:190-191]

Difference between salat and dhikr Allah is that they are both performed to please Allah Subhana wa Tallah but one is an obligation and the other is optional. After performing and before salat it is mandatory for the Momin or believer to contemplate and keep on remembering Allah Subhana wa Tallah in his or her heart. Whether you are alone or assembled in groups you can remember the Lord, Allah Subhana wa Tallah. Dhikr Allah can be comprised of first kalima `La ilaha illa Allah,’ or you can do Dhikr by saying `Allah and Asllah Hu’.

Ma’arifat means the knowledge of Allah Subhana Wa Tallah and the relationship between man or Insaan and Allah. Sufis and saints of Allah have disclosed sacred knowledge and shared their experiences for the sake of strengthening the relationship between Man and Allah.

According to Saints of Allah, many veils or Hijaab need to be lifted one by one. After the lifting of these veils the man finds him standing in front of the truth.

There is immense need to develop the understanding between the real and illusion. Man is usually happy within his illusions and hardly comes out in the light of truth or reality. It is not possible to attain this understanding by books or knowledge of religion but this awareness or awakening is only dependent on the Will of Allah Subhana Wa Tallah.

Sufis and Saints of Allah are those men and women who attained the true divine Knowledge about Allah and they strived upon developing strong connection with Allah. If a person thinks he or she can get this knowledge with the help of his wisdom and understanding than they are not fully attuned with their inner or heart. The heart is the true source of guidance and only the heart, brimming with the Noor or Light of Allah.

Saints of Allah that include the much honorable and respectful Shaikh Ali Hujwari and Sultan Bahu refute the claims made by certain critics. Besides them many other exalted and glorious saints or Wali Allah, concur that Maarifat is unattainable with Knowledge ilm and wisdom aql alone.

If this had been the case than every knowledgeable person and every wise man would have been a sufi. If Maarifat was attainable with visible worships (namaz and roza) than every religious person should have been a sufi.

Not every aalim or scholar can reach the exalted state of Wali Allah and be called an Aaarif. In fact, the true and divine knowledge of Allah can only be transferred to someone who is blessed by the will of Allah Subhana wa Tallah. Only Allah alone has the power to open the locked doors of heart. Only Allah alone can seal the doors of heart.

Heart of a man is full of worldly desires. In the presence of these desires, it is not possible to attain the true knowledge. Allah Subhana wa Tallah reveals the divine knowledge to the heart that has purified itself of illusions, self created and those cultivated due to the experiences in life.

Every man or woman has the built-in ability to differentiate between the right and wrong, light and darkness and good and bad.
