Sila Sahin, German-Muslim soap star, causes uproar for steamy Playboy pictorial; ‘she must pay’
A steamy Muslim actress has caused a firestorm in Germany’s Islamic community by stripping nude for Playboy.
Sila Sahin, the 25-year-old star the German soap opera “Good Times, Bad Times,” has been branded a “whore” and a “western slut” on web message boards popular with Islamic hardliners for her cover spread in the lad mag’s German edition.
Commenters spewed that Sahin was “shaming Muslim womanhood” and “prostituting herself for money,” while others warned that she “needs to be very careful.”
Another commenter simply said, “She must pay,” according to the UK’s Sun newspaper.
The Islamic Community of Germany has called for a boycott of her show.
The sexy brunette remained defiant, saying that she bared it all as a reaction to the “slavery” of her youth.

“What I want to say with these photos is, ‘Girls, we don’t have to live according to the rules imposed upon us,’” Sahin told Playboy.
“For years I subordinated myself to various societal constraints. The Playboy photo shoot was a total act of liberation.”
The Berlin-based star’s parents are said to be horrified at the pictorial, and Sahin told Germany’s Bild newspaper that her mother has cut off contact.
About three million Muslims live in Germany.
The country has seen a heated national debate recently about “honor killings,” in which fanatical Muslim men kill female family members for not living up to the values of Islam.
In 2008, a 23-year-old Afghan-born man in Hamburg made national headlines for stabbing his 16-year-old sister more than 20 times because he objected to her lifestyle.
